EDIT: I just found out that one of the waiting families got the news that they have been waiting for! They received the phone call at 10 AM this morning and will be leaving for Aqtobe, Kazakhstan on Saturday!! They will be meeting their child on Monday morning! Keep in mind that there is an 11 hour time difference so they will be meeting their child on Sunday evening (our time)!! Patti and I met Kami & Eric at a meeting back in November. They completed their dossier in mid March but had to re-submit it due to new rules that went into effect in June. They submitted their updated dossier the same week that we submitted ours (June 18th) so we are hoping that we are right behind them! At least we know that things in Kazakhstan are starting to move again. I have to admit to checking my e-mail about 50 times today! Patti and I are ready to go BUT we would much prefer to have 7 - 10 day notice to buy airline tickets, obtain visas and pack! YIKES!! I can't believe they only got a 72 hour notice!

Here are a few pictures of our nursery. Since we were not 100% sure if we were getting a baby boy or girl, we decided to do the nursery in more of a neutral decor. We put in a tan carpet and painted the walls a beige/yellow color. We also have a border, with a cool safari theme, that circles the room. We were very pleased with the way it came out.Patti bought a crib for her niece a few years ago. Kailin, now 6 years old, was happy to allow her new baby cousin to borrow it for a little while. Kailin is very excited to have a new cousin on the way. She doesn't quite understand why we just don't "go and get him already"! She can't wait to play with him and teach him how to read!
Molly (our cat) just loves the crib! We've started to keep the door closed so she doesn't claim the crib as her own! She's going to get a big surprise when we bring home a baby! She will find a good place to hide and we won't see her for weeks!
I also posted a couple of photos of some of the toys and gifts that we have received from of our family and friends. Click on the picture to get a better look!

Don't be shy about sharing your comments. We look forward to hearing from all of our family and friends, as well as the all the "blog stalkers" out there! Patti and I have done more than our fair share of blog stalking over this past year. We have learned so much from others that have made this trip before us.
Hopefully, we will have some good news to post very soon!!

Love the Nursery. It is so cheerful! Nick is really into tigger and pooh so he would love your animals in the crib. Nick's first personal sign language and then english was mostly related to animal so I thinkt the border is great! Hope you hear something soon! This is when we found out last year and then left on the 9th of Feb!
Here's to hoping for an LOI soon! The nursery looks great--- those are some of Rylie's personal favorites. There is a little boy or girl in Kaz just waiting to come home to it!
Oh Molly is such a pretty kitty!
The nursery looks great. I love the border. Bring a couple of those rings with you and stacking cups if you have some. Also bring something with soft music or lights up.
Hang in there your LOI is coming soon. The moment they place your baby in your arms you will forget all about the long wait. Well you won't totally forget but it makes it all worth it.
The nursery looks wonderful.
I like Molly. My grandmother used to always say a calico cat is a good luck cat.
